AI connects to SAP EAM's RCM workflow at three critical junctures: analysis, strategy, and execution. During the analysis phase, AI agents can process unstructured Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) data from documents, spreadsheets, or SAP Document Management (DMS), extracting failure modes, effects, and criticality ratings to populate or validate Functional Locations (IL01) and Equipment (IE01) master data. For strategy development, AI models analyze historical Maintenance Orders (IW31/IW32) and Notifications (IW21/IW22) against the FMEA to recommend optimal maintenance tasks (condition-based, predictive, run-to-failure) and suggest initial Maintenance Plans (IP10) and Task Lists (IA01).
