RPA platforms like UiPath Orchestrator, Automation Anywhere Control Room, and Blue Prism Control Room are built to schedule, monitor, and log bot execution. However, they lack native intelligence to decide which bot to run, when to involve a human, or how to handle unstructured data. An AI orchestration layer sits above these control rooms, acting as the central brain for hybrid workflows. It uses LLMs to interpret incoming requests (e.g., an email, a scanned invoice), determines the required steps, and dispatches tasks to the appropriate resource: a bot for a structured SAP transaction, a vision model for document extraction, or the UiPath Action Center for a human exception review.
