AI integrates with Braze at three primary surfaces: the Canvas journey orchestrator, the user profile and event stream, and the content management and delivery APIs. For orchestration, AI can act as a decision node within a Canvas, using real-time user data (e.g., purchase history, session count, predicted churn score) to dynamically select the next step, message variant, or channel. For data, AI models consume the Braze event stream via webhooks or the users/track endpoint to generate predictive attributes—like likelihood to purchase or churn risk—which are written back to user profiles as custom attributes using the users/track API, enabling immediate use in segmentation and triggering.
