FSMA 204 compliance is a data orchestration challenge, not just a reporting exercise. AI integration targets three core surfaces within platforms like FoodLogiQ, TraceGains, or Safefood 360: the supplier document hub, the lot/batch event log, and the compliance reporting module. The goal is to automate the aggregation and validation of KDEs (e.g., location, traceability lot code, date) from disparate sources—PDF COAs, ERP shipment records, WMS scans—and link them into a compliant, query-ready chain of custody. This means building AI agents that listen for platform webhooks on new shipments or documents, use document intelligence to extract and validate fields against product specifications, and then write the enriched, linked data back to the platform's traceability object model via its REST API.
