A custom predictive system automates this bottleneck by continuously ingesting soil moisture telemetry from IoT sensors, evapotranspiration forecasts from weather APIs, and crop-stage models. An orchestration agent fuses this data, calculates a dynamic water prescription for each management zone, and pushes commands via API to pivot or drip irrigation controllers. This eliminates manual schedule checking, prevents over/under-watering, and directly converts saved water into lower pumping costs and improved yield stability.
