Manual inspection rounds for perishable inventory are slow, inconsistent, and miss critical decay signals between checks. A custom automation workflow deploys edge-based computer vision agents and IoT sensors to continuously monitor stock condition in coolers and on shelves. This system ingests real-time imagery and environmental data, processes it locally to minimize latency, and updates quality grades directly in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The result is a shift from periodic sampling to continuous assurance, reducing spoilage write-offs and labor costs while improving sell-through of aging inventory.
