Manual switching order generation is a critical bottleneck in grid operations, requiring engineers to analyze topology, simulate sequences, and draft formal work orders—a process prone to error and delay. Automating this workflow directly reduces outage duration, improves crew safety, and increases network agility. A custom implementation ingests SCADA/OMS data, uses a network digital twin for simulation and validation, and generates the switching sequence and formal orders, presenting them for operator approval before execution via remote-controlled switches.
